Prashant Goyal: Co-founder/Director

Mr. Prashant Goyal is entrepreneur and experienced electronics engineering professional, who acts as the Co-founder of Innoflaps Remedy Pvt. Ltd. and DrSpectra. Having expertise in designing, programming and testing systems in the field of medical devices, semiconductors, and consumer electronics, Mr. Goyal is an accomplished entrepreneur whose vision is to eradicate health issues like hearing and speech impairment and spread awareness about it to the masses. Over the years, he has been a clinical research associate working with the TinnitusRelief Device and has also designed and developed 12 new products in his experience.

In 2012, DrSpectra started with problem identification like Tinnitus, Dizziness, Stammering, Speech impairment in children and adults. According to the latest reports, around 60 million people in India alone are suffering from these ailments. Keeping this in mind, DrSpectra started the process of device development and prototyping with proper clinical trials done in association with institutions like Amarjyoti Charitable Trust, AIIMS, Delhi, RML Hospital and Gangaram Hospital. After that, the clinical service was started in Delhi after the launch of the product devices. Based on the findings, state-of-the-art devices like TinnitusRelief, Speechifi and SpeakFluent were manufactured by DrSpectra. While the research work for TinnitusRelief was done by AIIMS, Delhi, the research work of both Speechifi and SpeakFluent was done at the All-India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH). At DrSpectra, Mr. Goyal oversees the business, sales, accounting, manufacturing, marketing aspects of the organization.

With DrSpectra, Mr. Goyal helms Business and Organizational Development, Sales Strategy Development, New Product Development, third-party product validation and reliability, and managing overall production and R&D. He has experience in sales and marketing, project management, customer relationship. Mr. Goyal has also done 10 days boot camp in Goa for entrepreneurship by Stanford University with 50 other entrepreneurs.

Prior to this, Prashant Goyal has worked at Samsung India as the R&D Engineer responsible for electronics circuit design and development, verification and validation of consumer electronics products like CTV and LCD TV. He is responsible for the new product development of sound and power in CTV, for this he visited and worked with Samsung China, Tinjin and launched new products with the new sound power ratings and woofer models.

After that, he has worked at the ST Microelectronics as a Senior Design Engineer, where he developed and conducted tests for analog IPs and also oversaw board design and debugging. He was the lead engineer for automative chip validation. He had visited and worked with the ST Microelectronics, Milan, Italy for 4 months. Also, recognised as the Best Team Player.

Apart from these, Mr. Goyal has also worked at the Stryker Global Technological Center as a Senior Software Engineer (R&D), and developed a surgical tool testing kit for recognised faults in the hospital and fast service. Winner of Pathbreaking Innovation Awards of Q3, (2011) to develop diagnosis tool for surgical power tools and also the Winner of the New product prototype competition in Technology Week, 2011.

He has also worked as the Lead Validation Engineer at Freescale, (NXP) Semiconductor for new generation chip for automotive. There, he was the leader of a six-member team for analog validation.

Dr. Soniya Gupta: Co-founder/Director

Dr. Soniya Gupta, BASLP (Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology) is a leading audiologist and researcher in the field of Tinnitus and speech impairment issues. She has received certificate from the Rehabilitation Council of India. Dedicating her 12-year career in Audiology to assessing and treating adults and children with hearing needs, Dr. Soniya Gupta also acts as the Co-founder and Clinical Director of DrSpectra. Prior to joining DrSpectra, Dr. Soniya Gupta spent nearly 7 years successfully treating around 500 speech and hearing disorder patients. She has also worked at the Delhi ENT Hospital in Delhi, Forties Hospital in Mohali, Yathrath Hospital, Greater Noida, and as an Audiologist and Speech Therapist at Hearing Point, Noida.

In the field of Audiology, Dr. Gupta has done routine hearing assessment & interpretation which includes PTA, Immitance Audiometry, Speech Audiometry and Pediatric audiological assessment, possessing the practical skills in counseling the case/caregiver regarding the care & maintenance of hearing aids, auditory training & developing speech reading skills. She also carried out various hearing aids trial & dispensed many hearing aids. Possessing knowledge of practical skill in assessing & interpreting various electrophysiological tests such as ASSR (Audiotory Steady State Response), BERA (Brainstem Evoked Response Auditory), OAE (Oto Acoustic Emission). She has also received knowledge in various types of amplification devices, C.I (Cochlear Implant and Assistive Listening Devices) and possesses practical skills of Calibration, Noise measurement and Hearing Conservation.

In the field of Speech Pathology, Dr. Gupta has assessed and intervened children and individuals with Various Communication disorders like HI (Hearing Handicapped), MR (Mentally Retarded), PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorders), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders), Acquired Childhood Aphasia, Articulation and Phonological disorders, Voice disorders, Cleft Palate, Fluency and its disorders, Neurocommunicating disorders (Aphasia and its related disorders), Neuromotor speech disorders (Cerebral palsy, Dysarthria, Apraxia). She has also given Auditory Verbal Therapy to children with cochlear implant.

Dr. Soniya Gupta has cured more than 1000 patients with speech, language & tinnitus problems. At DrSpectra, she is responsible for team management where she manages all the clinical teams and the research section. She also reviews patient’s assessment and treatment for all the impairments. She reviews marketing content and new patient queries and tries to find out more effective ways to do about patient treatment.

From the initial stage in 2012, she was involved in prototype validation with the patients, collection of research data and research publications. During the initial years from 2012 to 2020, Dr. Soniya Gupta managed all the sales for the clinic for its devices and services. Then, she trained the staff to handle the new patients and also for follow-up patients. After lockdown, Dr. Gupta converted all offline test facilities into online assessment, which was a pivotal point in making DrSpectra’s digital hearing assessment a norm and reality. She has also published four international research papers in academic journals for speech and Tinnitus problems.

Dr. Soniya Gupta also managed to get grant for patents for two of DrSpectra’s devices, - Speechifi and SpeakFluent. Alongwith Prashant Goyal, Dr. Gupta had attended 2 weeks entrepreneurship boot camp in IIM-Ahmadabad in Power of Idea (2015) with 75 other teams. She has also done 10 days boot camp in Goa for entrepreneurship by Stanford University with 50 other entrepreneurs. Dr. Soniya Gupta has published four research papers in international journals.

Dr. Luther P Martin: Advisor

Dr. Luther P. Martin, a US citizen, got in touch with DrSpectra in 2018 when he was suffering from Tinnitus. Then he took DrSpectra’s services and started his treatment by availing himself the TinnitusRelief device to get better. After a year of proper treatment and therapy by DrSpectra’s team, Dr. Martin recovered from Tinnitus and is now back to normalcy. During his ailment, he visited many doctors in US and sought treatment there but to no avail. Now after recovering with the help of DrSpectra’s treatment and therapy, Dr. Martin is providing valuable insights into the healthcare system of the current US market, which in the long run will provide DrSpectra with an overview of the prevalence of Tinnitus in the far West.

Dr. Luther P Martin is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine who specializes in Internal Medicine. A retired Lieutenant Colonel and Medical Officer at the US Army, Dr. Martin served as a General Internist in a large military hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care to a large panel of patients with complex medical conditions including but not limited to systems such as cardiovascular, endocrine, pulmonary, neurological, musculoskeletal, allergic and Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT). He has performed and interpreted a wide variety of diagnostic studies including pulmonary function tests and EKG’s. In the past, he has also served as a consultant to other doctor specialists such those in general surgery, podiatry, orthopaedics, obstetrics & gynaecology and emergency medicine.

Apart from that, Dr. Martin has diagnosed and treated or managed patient’s multitude of conditions and sometimes referred to appropriate sub specialties. In certain occasions, he had assessed soldiers for duty fitness in accordance with the U.S. Army regulations and also assessed discharged military personnel for Line of Duty disabilities.

Raman Kumar Sharma: Advisor

Raman Kumar Sharma got connected with DrSpectra back in 2018. Since then, he has been continuously providing his mentorship regarding clinical services, patient relationship, marketing, operational services, etc. to the team of DrSpectra. His vast experience of around 40 years as a corporate executive has been insightful as well as informative to the growth and functionality of DrSpectra’s services.

Raman Kumar Sharma is a member of the Steering Committee and also a Senior Advisor at the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Until 2015, he used to be a member of the Governing Council of the ASDC. Mr. Sharma also happens to be a Mentor of HR Cluster at the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), New Delhi.

Previously, Mr. Sharma had held a plethora of corporate positions over the years of his professional life. He was the Board Director (both at executive and non-executive role) at the Honda Cars India Ltd., Board Director (Non-executive) at the Honda Motor India Ltd.
